If you’ve finished your training and are ready to get started in your doula career but not sure where to go, build your confidence in a unique mentorship program.
Connect with other doulas in your community in this collaborative mentoring opportunity. Mentorship is led by Amber Knowles, a doula of 5 years who is deeply familiar with the landscape of birth in the Chicagoland area. Our mentoring program includes weekly zoom sessions with doulas who may be in the same season of learning, and those who may have experience and perspective to share with you.
This program is perfect for you if you are a Chicagoland doula looking to grow your business and find your footing in the birth world. Our conversations will encourage you to explore your own birth philosophies, figure out your ideal client base, and navigate care options that exist in our area. We will cover topics like becoming more visible in the public eye, how to (and who to) network with in the perinatal field (and its not what we learned in doula certification), how to approach prenatal visits with clients, how to work with providers, and where to find those first clients.
Mentorship also includes two one-on-one zoom sessions per month, that can be used to grow yourself in whatever way you want. Want to do a mock interview? We’ve got you. Interested in someone giving feedback on your website? Yup this is a good time. Want to know how to deal with a tricky client? Mmh-hmmm let us help support you.
Members also have access to getting advice during births- WHILE they are happening. That’s right— a seasoned doula in your pocket, all you have to do is call.
“Countless times with no hesitations or reservations this dynamic duo have helped me. I am so honored and lucky to be able to be apart of their dream team. Any questions I’ve had or situations I’ve been in they’ve been there to support and educate me. Just like in actual birth. From having gentle hearts to strong mindsets there’s truly nobody else I would love learning from. They mother the mothers but they also mother the doulas. There isn’t a hesitation when asking them a question or needing just to talk. I know they will tell me what I need to hear even if it’s a little tough love, because that’s a motivator. I am genuinely overjoyed to be by their side.”
- Doula Mentee 2025“Amber and Rebekkah are deeply community-oriented doulas and mentors who truly understand how to build meaningful, sustainable support for doulas. They are always there with a listening ear, thoughtful guidance, and practical advice, and they consistently show how much they want doulas to succeed.
In a world where birth work is very hard to do in isolation, Amber and Rebekkah create the kind of community and support that makes it possible to keep going. When we give so much of ourselves to others, it’s essential to have support in return, and Amber and Rebekkah have been that for me. Because of them, I feel more confident, connected, and grounded in this work.”
